That's why I said it's repairable (it is), but insurance might (probably) think otherwise. And at that point he'd have a salvage title and have to do all the crap involved with that. The salvage title itself won't mean much if he's not planning to sell it soon. And insurance might not cover it for over liability (my friend's in Jersey wouldn't). As to the crap involved, my friend had his miata totaled when he got rear ended. He bought it back. He had to fix it, show receipts, and all other kinds of stupid shit to even get an appointment for the DMV to take a look at it. Then it was a 2 hour process for the guys to rip the thing apart and make sure it was ok. Took a few months from the time he bought it back to the time he could register it again, and cost bout $500 (NOT including the buy back price OR the cost to repair it). Once registered, insurance places wouldn't cover more than liability since it was already considered a lost cause. This was Jersey, so Tony might have better luck
